Announcement of Board changes at ITV

Following the announcement of Michael Grade’s retirement as Chairman of ITV and the appointment of Archie Norman who will take up the role in January, ITV today announced further changes to the board composition.

Heather Killen and Agnès Touraine have both announced their intention to retire as non executive directors with effect from 31 December 2009 now that the succession arrangements have been completed.

Commenting on the changes, Michael Grade said: “I am very grateful to Heather and Agnès for their assistance in guiding ITV through an extremely challenging time to a place where the company’s prospects are immeasurably improved.”

Archie Norman said: “2009 has been by any standards a difficult and demanding year for the non-executive team at ITV and I thank Heather and Agnès for their support of me and Michael Grade through this period of succession.”
