Grievance and whistleblowing

Grievance and whistleblowing

Most problems at work can be resolved informally, but sometimes formal processes are necessary. Our Grievance Policy ensures that employees have access to appropriate channels through which they can communicate any grievances. We track the number of grievances reported and provide senior management with a monthly update.

Under our Whistleblowing Policy, employees can report concerns about wrongdoing or serious risks through a confidential and independent helpline run by the charity Public Concern at Work (PCaW). We encourage employees to phone the helpline or contact PCaW directly if necessary, and promote the service through articles on the Watercooler, our company intranet site. A recent survey showed that 72% of employees are aware of whistleblowing procedures.
