Shaping Culture for Good

ITV aims to inspire positive change and shape culture for good through its linear TV channels, ITVX, and its prominent position as a Public Service Broadcaster in the UK.

This page provides an overview of ITV’s Social Purpose agenda, outlining our goals, targets, and achievements. It includes our 2025 Impact Report, reporting frameworks and ESG ratings, as well as links to Materiality, Governance, and other relevant reports.

Social Purpose

ITV's Social Purpose is integral to our corporate strategy. We’re changing ITV for the better and using our content and reach to inspire positive change for audiences, the industry and beyond.

Our Social Purpose agenda focuses on four key areas: Mental Wellbeing, Better Futures, Climate Action, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Our goals align with nine of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and are where we believe ITV can make the most significant contribution.

Reporting frameworks, ESG ratings, and other accreditations

CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts.

ITV was awarded an ‘A’ rating in 2025, which recognises leadership in climate action, environmental transparency, and performance.

Morningstar Sustainalytics' ESG Risk Ratings provides a multi-dimensional assessment of a company's exposure to industry-specific material ESG risks and its management of those risks. Its methodology categorises risks into five severity levels, offering an absolute measure of risk.

ITV’s ESG Risk Rating is 9.4, which is negligible risk

Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) ESG Rating is designed to measure a company’s resilience to long-term industry material environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks. MSCI use a rules-based methodology to identify industry leaders and laggards, and their ESG Ratings range from leader (AAA, AA), average (A, BBB, BB) to laggard (B, CCC).

ITV ranked AAA as an industry leader in 2025 and for the last five years.

The TCFD developed a framework to help public companies and other organisations more effectively disclose climate-related risks and opportunities through their existing reporting processes.

ITV’s climate-related financial disclosures are consistent with the TCFD recommendations, including the 2021 Annex and Companies Act requirements, with the exception of certain metrics and targets disclosures. Refer to our Climate-Related Financials Disclosure section of our 2025 Annual Report and Accounts.

We collaborate with industry bodies and peers to ensure ITV is an active participant in developing transformative solutions across our value chain.
