Soccer Aid for UNICEF

ITV is proud to partner with UNICEF for our main fundraising initiative, Soccer Aid. Soccer Aid is the world’s biggest celebrity football match, featuring some of the nation’s favourite celebrities, sporting stars and best-loved football legends.

Beyond broadcasting the football match which encourages viewers to donate, ITV also raises money through celebrity specials of some of our most-loved quiz shows and through employee events. The money raised goes towards helping children who are facing conflict, disasters, and other crises around the world.

Soccer Aid football players celebrate on the pitch. They are standing on a stage that says “Winners 2024” in front of flame cannons. They hold up the trophy smiling and cheering with their arms.

Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC)

ITV is a longstanding supporter of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), creating and broadcasting emergency appeals, including for the floods in Pakistan, the impact of the war in Ukraine and the Turkey-Syria earthquake.

Eat Them To Defeat Them

According to the NHS, one in eight primary school children are obese. In 2024, ITV continued its partnership with healthy-eating initiative Veg Power on their award-winning Eat Them To Defeat Them campaign by donating £1.5m worth of airtime to their advertising campaign. The campaign also ran in schools with fun visuals and take-home reward charts. Since 2019, 1.7 million schoolchildren have taken part in the initiative.

The Daily Mile

ITV provides airtime to encourage schools to take part in The Daily Mile, which ensures children have at least 15 minutes of daily exercise. This is proven to help improve children’s mood and memory as well as attention in class. In 2024, ITV regional news covered the story with athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton taking part in the Daily Mile with children from a primary school in London. 513,000 children are now signed up to the Daily Mile as a result of ITV's support since 2019.

Mentoring & volunteering

All permanent ITV colleagues are encouraged to take up to 3 working days a year to volunteer.

ITV partners with Creative Access on a mentoring scheme, matching ITV colleagues with young people from groups under-represented in the creative industries to help them in their early careers over 6 months of mentoring.

The programme exceeded my expectations, providing me with a great mentor that not only clearly broke down how the industry and departments run, but was also so intentional about connecting me with her peers in the industry
