ITV has an ambitious and robust climate action programme that touches all parts of the organisation. We are transforming the business and working with stakeholders across the industry and across our value chain to have as broad an impact as possible on our journey to Net Zero.
ITV is committed to achieving Net Zero, with an initial target of 46.2% reduction of carbon emissions we control and 28% reduction of carbon emissions we influence, by 2030, and 90% reduction of all carbon emissions by 2050. These targets are validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative.
We are continuously taking steps to improve our data quality and monitor waste in our offices and production activities, all while working towards a circular economy.
To cultivate an engaged culture at ITV, we run internal climate action campaigns and offer training to all employees. Our last campaign featured sustainability themed competitions, a vodcast from the CEO, and a Climate Innovation Showcase highlighting the strides made by teams across the company.
Innovation is at the core of any creative industry and TV production is no exception. In order to come up with the biggest and best shows while cutting our emissions, we foster a culture of change and experimentation.
ITV collaborates with suppliers, as well as peers across the broadcast, streaming and production industries to achieve our goals while contributing to the Net Zero transition across the media sector
Along with 11 other broadcasters, ITV initiated and signed the Climate Content Pledge at COP26 in November 2021, committing to doing more to reach and engage audiences with climate action content.

ITV will use our huge reach and world-class talent to make relatable, entertaining and inspiring content that helps audiences understand the need for climate action, how it is relevant to our lives and how we can all be part of the solution.
We will report on the issues, normalise sustainable choices and tell optimistic stories of change.
We will embed climate and nature-positive content across all genres, for all audiences.
ITV continues to celebrate pre-loved fashion through powerful partnerships including Love Island / eBay and Vinted / Big Brother.
