Procuring with Social Purpose
Our plan
ITV has ambitious Social Purpose goals and we know we can only achieve these by working in partnership with you, our valued suppliers.
Our Procuring with Social Purpose approach is what we use to select and work with suppliers that share our ambitions, meet our standards and are willing to help us achieve our goals.
When selecting key suppliers we typically assign at least 20% of the overall scoring criteria to Social Purpose topics. These topics include climate action, waste, diversity, equity and inclusion, human rights, labour rights and data security. More details on our standards and goals can be found in our Supplier Code of Conduct.
To support our selection processes we conduct due diligence on these topics and we will likely ask suppliers for specific information relating to the products or services they are providing. We are increasingly seeing Social Purpose as a key differentiator between suppliers that is impacting our sourcing decisions.
For existing suppliers, we will engage and work with them on the relevant Social Purpose topics. We seek to share leading practices and work collaboratively with suppliers and stakeholders across the industry to collectively improve our Social Purpose impact.
Empowering your business to make the change
Our goal is to create the biggest shows with the smallest footprint.
To achieve this, we’ve set environmental goals that include Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2030 and having a 100% sustainable supply chain by 2030.
A significant proportion of emissions in our value chain are from purchased goods and services. We therefore want to work with suppliers that recognise the need for action, and are willing to work with us to create sustainable supply chains and help us achieve net zero emissions by 2030.
Let’s get there together
We want to support all of our suppliers to take action and reduce their environmental impact. We encourage our largest suppliers to report to CDP and publicly declare results where possible.
For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking support to get started, we recommend SME Climate Hub. This non-profit global initiative offers free online toolkits designed to empower SMEs to take climate action, providing essential tools and training materials to help businesses achieve net-zero emissions.
