Lights off for Earth Hour

Our main sites join thousands of landmarks around the globe by going ‘lights out’ in a symbolic show of solidarity for the planet

On Saturday 24th March at 8:30pm, our London, Leeds and Manchester sites took the opportunity to be part of WWF’s Earth Hour, the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment. Businesses and landmarks have a vital role to play, leading their cities and communities to act on climate change.

The 2018 event was a great success with over 17,900 landmarks switching off their lights in 188 countries, uniting millions of people in a show of solidarity for the planet. Click here for more pictures from this year’s Earth Hour.

Switching off our non-essential lights is just one of the things ITV does to raise awareness and help improve our environmental impact. Click here to read more about ITV’s Responsibility strategy.
