Mental Wellbeing
30 Nov 20
Britain Get Talking, our landmark campaign to encourage people to build their mental wellness through connecting more, has been recognised in two categories at the 2020 Campaign BIG awards.
The campaign, created by creative agency Uncommon Creative Studio, won in the categories of ‘Media Excellence: Print’ and ‘Response to Covid-19: Best Reactive Idea’.
In 2019, 2.8 million took action by starting a conversation with friends or family, and when the nation was placed into lockdown earlier this year, 6.4 million people reached out to connect with friends and family, making 15 million calls and sending 27 million text messages as a direct result of the campaign.
Judges praised the campaign, comments included:
Turning over your platform and giving people a voice will probably never happen again.
Vicki Macguire, CCO Havas London
It’s a response to COVID which shows how these platforms are helping people - they took that moment to give up everything else to ask, ‘How can we help?'
Kevin Morosky, Creative Director POCC
ITV will be remembered for it.
Stephen De Wolf, CCO BBH
