Up against impressive competition, ITV’s Britain Get Talking campaign won in the Social Purpose category of the The Drum Marketing Awards. The category recognises campaigns which drive forward socially responsible marketing and brand purpose. Judges look for campaigns that demonstrate real impact and creativity.
Britain Get Talking was praised for its brave and creative approach to raising awareness of mental wellbeing.
ITV’s 2019 mental wellness campaign, supported by Mind and YoungMinds, saw 2.8 million people start a conversation or have a more meaningful conversation with family and friends.. To help combat the 48% increase in depression and anxiety in children since 2004, the campaign stopped Britain’s Got Talent and showed other ITV shows pausing, to enable people to take a moment to connect with their loved ones.
The campaign was created for ITV by Uncommon Creative Studios.
The Drum Marketing Awards celebrate the best marketers and campaigns internationally.
Britain Get Talking is part of our wider Better Health priorities to encourage 10 million people to take action and improve their mental or physical health over the next 5 years.
